Wedding Engagement of Amala Paul & Vijay

It was indeed a dream come true for Amala Paul, who had a memorable engagement. The ceremony at the St Jude Church, Aluva, was like a mini wedding, with the couple walking the aisle, before exchanging rings. The couple then headed to the grand sangeet ceremony, held later in the evening at a convention centre at Nedumbaserry.
The stage for the sangeet, done up in Rajasthani style, resembled a movie set. Around 7.30 pm, the couple made a grand entry in a white vintage car, led by Rajasthani dancers playing the dholak. A beaming Amala looked ethereal in an exquisite pink lehenga and uncut diamond jewellery, while Vijay looking suave in a black sherwani suit. The duo exchanged garlands in North Indian style and cut the cake later.

Kerala CM Oommen Chandy made a quick visit and blessed the couple. Vijay had made a video for his bride-to-be, while Amala played out the photo feature she had prepared for him. It was also the 25th wedding anniversary of Amala's parents, who joined in the dancing and singing. The evening ended with a dance performance, in which the entire family took part
